I first came into contact with Matthew Fox and Creation Spirituality when I attended a conference at the School of Theology in Claremont, California where Matt was the keynote speaker. It was in 1989 just one month before he was silenced. When I heard him I knew that this was the only kind of Christianity I could live with. I read The Coming of the Cosmic Christ and then everything else I could find that he had written. I am an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ. When I saw that Matt was offering a D.Min. degree in Creation Spirituality I jumped at the opportunity to study with him. I graduated in the first doctoral class at the University of Creation Spirituality in 1999. My dissertation was entitled, Tarot Meditations: A Reflection Informed by Creation Spirituality. I have also published two books: Liturgies of the Earth, a book of rituals that follows the wheel of the year, and Prophetess of the Earth which is a rewriting of the Gospels and Apocalypse with a feminine Christ-figure who teaches "the gospel of the way of the earth." I also gave birth to a spiritual community in 1990 called "Spiritwind." Spiritwind is an eclectic group of "spiritual adventures" which meets in two locations--one in Tehachapi, CA and the other at the church that I am currently minister of in Auburn, CA. This church is First Congregational Church of Auburn, UCC.
